The BONEHAM SF328GK is a slip-fixed (SF) drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Built from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing delivers consistent bore accuracy across high-volume drilling, reaming, and boring operations. The inside diameter measures 0.209 inches with a tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, keeping tool runout minimal across repeated cycles. The body outside diameter is 0.5 inches and the length under the head is 0.5 inches. A head is included for positive seating, and the bushing is renewable, meaning it is designed to be removed and replaced without disturbing the liner bushing or jig plate. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary installers.
SF-type slip-fixed bushings are used in production drilling jigs where the bushing must be locked in place during the operation but can be exchanged between setups. This part suits applications in metal fabrication shops, aerospace component production, and general precision machining environments. The LS-1 compatible lock screw interface is the standard fastening method for this bushing series, securing the head to the liner bushing once the SF328GK is rotated into the locked position. The counterbored configuration is not applicable here, keeping installation straightforward on flat jig plates.
Designed for use with LS-1 compatible lock screws and standard ANSI liner bushings in slip-fixed bushing applications. Fits jig plates and fixtures configured for a 0.5 inch body outside diameter SF-series renewable bushing.
This bushing is installed by machinists or tooling technicians into an existing liner bushing that is already pressed into the jig plate. The SF328GK is inserted and rotated to the locked position, then secured with an LS-1 lock screw. Power down all machine tools and clamp the workpiece securely before seating or removing the bushing. Do not force the bushing into an undersized liner; verify liner inside diameter matches the bushing body outside diameter before installation.
