The BONEHAM SF328EN is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during machining and drilling operations. Built to ANSI standards, this bushing features a 0.1495 inch inside diameter (wire size No. 25) and a 0.500 inch body outside diameter with a 0.500 inch length under head. Constructed from hardened steel at 60 to 65 HRC, it provides the wear resistance required for repetitive production drilling. The head style design and LS-1 lock screw compatibility allow secure, positive retention in a drill jig or fixture plate. This is a renewable bushing, meaning it can be replaced in the liner without removing the liner from the fixture.
Slip-fixed drill bushings like the SF328EN are used in production jig drilling applications across metalworking, tooling, and fabrication environments. The SF industry code designates this as a slip-type bushing that locks in place via a lock screw, making it well suited for operations requiring tool changes or bushing swaps between operations at the same drill point. Machinists, toolmakers, and jig and fixture builders are the primary installers. This part is compatible with LS-1 lock screws and fits standard ANSI slip-fixed liner configurations.
Designed for use with LS-1 compatible lock screws and standard ANSI slip-fixed liner bushings in drill jig and fixture applications.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinists during jig and fixture assembly or maintenance. Ensure the liner bushing bore and the fixture plate are clean and free of chips before inserting the slip-fixed bushing. The lock screw must be engaged to secure the bushing during drilling operations. Always verify the drill press or machine is powered down and locked out before servicing or replacing bushings in a fixture.
