The BONEHAM SF3222HG is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Built to the SF industry code, it features a 0.25 inch inside diameter, a 0.5 inch body outside diameter, and a 1.375 inch length under head. The bushing is machined from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, delivering the wear resistance required for repeated drilling, reaming, or boring operations. Inside diameter tolerance is held to +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches for accurate tool guidance. A counterbored head design and LS-1 compatible lock screw allow secure, repeatable positioning within a liner bushing. This part is installed by machinists, toolmakers, and production fixture technicians.
The SF3222HG is suited for use in drill jigs and production fixtures where tooling must be changed frequently without disturbing the liner bushing. The slip-fixed installation method allows the bushing to be inserted and locked in place with an LS-1 lock screw, making it a practical choice for multi-operation fixtures in metal fabrication and machining environments. The renewable design means worn bushings can be replaced individually without reworking the fixture plate, reducing downtime on the shop floor.
Designed for use with LS-1 series lock screws and compatible liner bushings in standard ANSI SF-code drill jig applications.
Installation is performed by qualified toolmakers or machinists working with drill jig fixtures. Before installing or replacing bushings, ensure the fixture is secured and all machine power is off. The bushing is inserted into a mating liner bushing and locked with an LS-1 lock screw — confirm screw engagement is complete before resuming drilling operations. Do not force the bushing into an undersized liner; verify liner inside diameter matches the bushing body outside diameter before assembly.
