The BONEHAM SF208DV is a slip-fixed drill bushing manufactured to ANSI standards for precision jig and fixture tooling applications. It features a 0.125 inch (1/8 inch) inside diameter, a 0.3125 inch (5/16 inch) body outside diameter, and a 0.5 inch (1/2 inch) length under head. The bushing carries an industry designation of SF and is constructed from steel hardened to 60-65 HRC, delivering the wear resistance required for repetitive drilling cycles. An inside diameter tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches ensures accurate hole location and guide consistency across production runs. The renewable design allows field replacement without scrapping the liner bushing assembly.
This bushing is used in drill jigs and fixture plates where a guided, removable bushing is required. The slip-fixed style seats into a press-fit liner bushing and is retained by a lock screw. It is suited for production machining environments in manufacturing, tool-and-die, and maintenance operations. The headed configuration provides a positive locating shoulder against the jig plate surface. Lock screw compatibility is rated for LS-1 hardware. This type of component is typically installed and serviced by toolmakers, machinists, and fixture maintenance technicians.
Designed for use with LS-1 lock screws and standard ANSI SF-style liner bushings in drill jig and fixture applications. Consult ANSI bushing compatibility charts to confirm liner bushing bore sizing before installation.
Installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified toolmaker or machinist familiar with jig bushing systems. Ensure the liner bushing bore is clean and free of debris before seating the slip-fixed bushing. Secure with an LS-1 compatible lock screw and verify the bushing rotates freely before locking. Do not force the bushing into an undersized liner bore, as this may damage the inside diameter tolerance.
