The BONEHAM SF208BP is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. With an inside diameter of 0.0595 inches (wire size No. 53) and an inside diameter tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, this bushing maintains tight positional accuracy for drilling operations. The steel construction delivers the hardness and wear resistance required for repeated tool passes. It installs into a counterbored liner bushing and is secured with an LS-1 compatible lock screw, making it a renewable component that can be replaced without disturbing the jig plate. Licensed machinists, toolmakers, and precision metalworking shops are the primary users of this part.
The SF208BP suits jig and fixture setups in production machining environments where repeatable hole location is critical. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be rotated into a locked position after seating, enabling quick changeouts during multi-operation drilling or reaming sequences. With a body outside diameter of 0.3125 inches (5/16 inches), a head outside diameter of 35/64 inches, and a head height of 1/4 inch, this bushing fits standard counterbored liner bushings sized for the SF series. Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinists as part of jig plate assembly or bushing renewal. Ensure the liner bushing bore and counterbore are clean and free of chips before inserting the SF208BP. The bushing is slipped in and rotated to engage the lock screw notch, then secured with an LS-1 lock screw to prevent rotation and axial movement during use. Do not force the bushing into an undersized or damaged liner bushing bore, as this may compromise positional accuracy.
