The BONEHAM PT4810LG is a press fit headless drill bushing designed to guide drill bits and reamers with precision in metalworking and machining operations. Built to ANSI standards, this Type P bushing features a 31/64 inch inside diameter, a 3/4 inch body outside diameter, and a 5/8 inch overall length. Constructed from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, it delivers the wear resistance required for repetitive drilling operations in production environments. Machinists and toolmakers install this bushing directly into drill jig plates, where it maintains accurate hole location across high-cycle runs without a locking collar or head flange.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jigs, fixture plates, and tooling setups found in machine shops, metal fabrication facilities, and manufacturing production lines. The headless profile allows it to sit flush with or below the jig plate surface, making it appropriate for applications where a flanged head would interfere with workpiece clearance or chip flow. It is a non-renewable bushing, meaning it is pressed permanently into the jig plate and is not intended for field replacement during a production run.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation Type P headless press fit drill bushing for use in standard ANSI-compliant drill jig plates and tooling fixtures requiring a 3/4 inch outside diameter bushing seat.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolmakers using an arbor press or hydraulic press to seat the bushing flush into a precision-bored jig plate hole. The mating bore in the jig plate must be held to the appropriate interference fit tolerance to achieve proper retention. Do not hammer the bushing in directly without a press tool, as this can damage the bushing bore or distort the jig plate. Verify all drill press or machine spindle power is off and the fixture is secure before beginning installation or inspection.
