The BONEHAM PT368IZ is a press fit headless drill bushing designed to guide drill bits and other cutting tools with precision during machining and fabrication operations. This bushing features a 0.339 inch inside diameter, a 9/16 inch body outside diameter, and a 1/2 inch overall length. Manufactured from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, it delivers the wear resistance required for repetitive drilling cycles in production jig and fixture applications. The headless design allows flush mounting in jig plates where a protruding head would interfere with workpiece positioning. Installation is by press fit, requiring no additional fasteners.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jigs, fixture plates, and tooling blocks across general metalworking, manufacturing, and fabrication environments. It is installed by machinists, toolmakers, and jig and fixture builders working in production or job-shop settings. The inside diameter conforms to the Letter size R designation and the Industry Code P bushing standard, making it a direct fit within ANSI-compliant drill bushing tooling systems. The tight inside diameter tolerance of plus 0.0001 to plus 0.0005 inches ensures consistent tool guidance and hole location accuracy across repeated operations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation drill bushing for ANSI-standard drill jigs and fixture plates requiring a press fit, headless bushing with a 0.339 inch inside diameter and 9/16 inch outside diameter.
Press fit bushings are installed by toolmakers or machinists using an arbor press or hydraulic press - never drive with a hammer directly on the bushing face, as this can damage the bore or distort the outer diameter. The receiving bore in the jig plate must be machined to the appropriate interference fit tolerance before installation. Once pressed in, this bushing is not designed for removal and reinstallation. Verify bore alignment and plate thickness against the 1/2 inch overall length before pressing to final depth.
