The BONEHAM PT2410FZ is a press fit headless drill bushing designed to guide drill bits and other cutting tools with precision during machining and fabrication operations. Manufactured from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing provides the wear resistance required for repeated drilling cycles in production and maintenance environments. The headless profile allows the bushing to sit flush within the jig plate, keeping the working surface clear. Inside diameter is 0.196 inches (wire size No. 9) and body outside diameter is 3/8 inches, with an overall length of 5/8 inches. Machinists, toolmakers, and maintenance technicians install this component in drill jigs and fixtures.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jig plates across light manufacturing, metal fabrication, and maintenance repair operations where consistent hole location is required. The press fit installation method means the bushing is pressed directly into a prepared hole in the jig plate without a locking collar or head flange. It is a non-renewable design, intended to remain fixed in place once installed. Typical applications include production drilling of ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces where hole-to-hole repeatability is critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation drill bushing for use in standard jig plates requiring a press fit headless bushing with a 3/8 inch body outside diameter and 0.196 inch inside diameter per ANSI specifications.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinist trades using an arbor press or hydraulic press to drive the bushing flush into a precisely reamed jig plate hole. The receiving hole in the jig plate must be machined to the correct interference fit tolerance before installation to avoid damage to the bushing or plate. Once pressed in, this bushing is not designed for removal and reinstallation. De-energize or lock out any powered machinery before working on or near the fixture.
