The BONEHAM PT2010FH is a press fit headless drill bushing designed to guide twist drills and other cutting tools with precision during machining operations. Manufactured from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing delivers consistent bore guidance and extended service life under repeated use. The headless profile sits flush with the jig plate surface, making it suited for applications where a protruding flange would interfere with workpiece clearance. With an inside diameter of 0.173 inches and a body outside diameter of 5/16 inches, this bushing conforms to ANSI standards for type P drill bushings and is pressed permanently into the jig body.
This bushing is intended for use in drill jigs and fixture plates across production machining environments, tool rooms, and precision fabrication shops. The press fit installation method means the bushing is driven or pressed into a prepared hole and is not designed for removal and replacement. It is appropriate for guiding drilling operations in both manual drill press setups and CNC fixture applications where repeatable hole location is required. Machinists, tool and die makers, and fixture builders are the typical installers of this component.
Designed as an ANSI-standard type P press fit headless drill bushing for use in drill jigs and fixture plates requiring a permanent, non-renewable bushing with a 5/16 inch body outside diameter.
Installation should be performed by a machinist or tool and die maker using an arbor press or appropriate pressing fixture to drive the bushing squarely into a precision-reamed hole in the jig plate. The receiving hole should be machined to the correct interference fit tolerance before pressing to avoid bushing distortion or bore damage. Because this is a non-renewable bushing, it is not intended to be removed once installed. Verify bore alignment and jig setup before pressing to final seating depth.
