The BONEHAM PT2010EQ is a press fit headless drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools accurately during drilling, reaming, and boring operations. Classified under industry code P, this bushing features a 0.152 inch inside diameter, a 5/16 inch outside diameter, and a 5/8 inch overall length. It installs without fasteners by pressing directly into a jig or fixture plate, seating flush with the surface. Made from steel hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, the PT2010EQ delivers the wear resistance required for repetitive production work. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals rely on this type of bushing to maintain hole location accuracy across high-volume part runs.
This bushing is used in drill jig fixtures for production machining environments, tool rooms, and precision fabrication shops. The headless design makes it well suited for applications where a flush or countersunk installation is required and a flanged head would interfere with workpiece seating. The 0.152 inch ID corresponds to a Number 24 wire gauge drill size, making it appropriate for close-tolerance guide applications in both ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. It is a non-renewable (fixed) bushing, meaning it is pressed permanently into the jig plate rather than designed for quick-change replacement.

Installation is performed by machinists or toolmakers using an arbor press or hydraulic press to seat the bushing into a properly toleranced jig plate bore. The receiving bore in the jig plate must be machined to the appropriate press fit tolerance to ensure secure retention without distorting the bushing ID. Do not drive the bushing with a hammer directly on the bore face, as this can damage the ground inside diameter. Because this is a non-renewable bushing, removal typically requires the bushing to be pressed or drilled out, making correct initial installation critical.
