The BONEHAM PT125CW is a press fit headless drill bushing designed to guide drill bits and other cutting tools with precision in metal fabrication and machining applications. Manufactured from hardened steel with a hardness rating of 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing delivers consistent bore alignment and wear resistance under repeated use. It features an inside diameter of 0.096 inches (Wire Size No. 41) and a body outside diameter of 3/16 inches, with an overall length of 5/16 inches. The press fit installation method locks the bushing securely into a jig plate without the need for a locking collar or retaining hardware. Machinists and toolmakers are the primary installers of this component.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jigs and fixture plates in production and prototype machining environments. The headless, press fit design is common in applications where a flush or recessed bushing profile is required and where the bushing is intended to remain permanently in the jig. It conforms to ANSI standards for drill bushing geometry, making it a direct-fit option in tooling designed to that specification. Typical installations are found in job shops, manufacturing plants, and precision toolroom environments handling steel, aluminum, and similar workpiece materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-build component for ANSI-standard drill jigs and fixture plates requiring a press fit headless bushing with a 3/16 inch outside diameter and 0.096 inch inside diameter.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolmakers using an arbor press or hydraulic press to seat the bushing into a properly reamed jig plate bore. The receiving bore in the jig plate must be machined to the appropriate press fit tolerance to ensure proper retention. Do not hammer the bushing in freehand, as this can damage the bore alignment or deform the bushing. Once pressed in, this bushing is not designed for removal or reuse.
