The BONEHAM PT1212BW is a press fit headless drill bushing designed to guide drill bits and reamers with precision in jig and fixture applications. Built to Industry Code P, this bushing features a 0.067 inch (Number 51 wire gauge) inside diameter and a 3/16 inch outside diameter, with an overall length of 3/4 inch. The steel construction is hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, providing the wear resistance required in high-cycle production drilling environments. It installs without a head, allowing flush or sub-flush seating where clearance is limited. Licensed machinists, tool and die makers, and fixture builders are the primary installers.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jigs and precision fixtures in both production and job-shop settings. The headless press fit design is common in applications where the bushing is intended to remain permanently in the jig plate. The counterbored body supports secure press engagement. ANSI standards compliance makes this part appropriate for shops maintaining certified tooling and fixturing programs. Typical applications include repetitive-hole drilling and reaming operations where positional accuracy is critical across large batch runs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or original fitment for drill jigs and precision fixtures requiring an ANSI Industry Code P press fit headless drill bushing with a 0.067 inch ID and 3/16 inch OD.
Installation is performed by tool and die makers or machinist trades using an arbor press or hydraulic press to seat the bushing flush with the jig plate surface. Power to any associated machine must be off and the workpiece secured before pressing the bushing into the bore. Avoid driving the bushing with a hammer directly on the face, as this can distort the inside diameter and affect bit guidance accuracy. Verify bore size and finish in the jig plate before pressing to ensure proper interference fit retention.
