The BONEHAM P648MM is a Type P press fit headless drill bushing used to guide drill bits and cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Manufactured from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, it provides consistent bore location and resists wear under repeated tooling passes. The headless design seats flush with the jig plate surface, making it suitable for installations where a protruding flange would interfere with workpiece clearance. Inside diameter is 21/32 inches with a tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0005 inches, ensuring close tool guidance. Outside diameter is 1 inch and overall length is 1/2 inch.

This bushing is used in drill jigs, fixture plates, and tooling setups across general machining, fabrication, and production environments. The press fit installation method means the bushing is driven or pressed into a prepared hole in the jig body, where it is retained by interference fit without fasteners or locking rings. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a toolmaker or machinist using an arbor press or hydraulic press. Because this is a non-renewable bushing, it is not designed for field removal and reinstallation.
