The BONEHAM P2612GH is a press fit headless drill bushing used to guide drill bits and cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. It carries an industry code of P and features a 0.2055-inch inside diameter, a 13/32-inch body outside diameter, and a 3/4-inch overall length. Machined from steel, this bushing is pressed directly into the jig plate without a head flange, leaving a flush surface for close-tolerance drilling operations. Inside diameter tolerance is held to +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, ensuring accurate and repeatable hole placement across production runs. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and precision fabricators install this type of bushing in drill jigs.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jigs, fixture plates, and tooling blocks where a flush-mount, headless profile is required. The headless design allows the bushing to sit fully recessed in the jig body, making it appropriate for setups where a flanged head would interfere with workpiece seating or clamping. It is a non-renewable bushing, meaning it is intended as a permanent press-fit installation rather than a slip-renewable replacement. Typical applications include production drilling, reaming guide work, and repetitive hole-location tasks in metal fabrication and machining environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation drill bushing for use in standard drill jig plates and fixture tooling that accept a press fit headless P-series bushing with a 13/32-inch outside diameter.
Press fit drill bushings are typically installed by machinists or tool-and-die professionals using an arbor press to drive the bushing squarely into a precision-bored hole in the jig plate. The mating bore in the jig plate must be machined to the appropriate press fit tolerance to achieve proper retention. Ensure the jig plate is secured and supported during installation to prevent distortion. Once pressed in, the bushing is not intended for removal or reuse.
