The BONEHAM P204DV is a press fit headless drill bushing used to guide drill bits and other cutting tools with precision during machining and fabrication operations. Built to ANSI standards, it features a 1/8 inch inside diameter and a 5/16 inch body outside diameter with an overall length of 1/4 inch. The inside diameter tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches ensures tight, repeatable tool guidance. Hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, this steel bushing resists wear under repeated drilling cycles. It installs without fasteners by pressing directly into a prepared jig plate or fixture body.

Installation Notes

Installation requires pressing the bushing into a pre-bored hole sized to achieve the correct interference fit per ANSI press fit bushing standards. A hydraulic or mechanical arbor press is the appropriate tool for seating the bushing without damaging the bore or the bushing itself. Do not drive the bushing with a hammer directly on the face, as this can cause distortion of the ID. Once pressed in, this bushing is not designed for removal and replacement.
