The BONEHAM P2012FG is a press fit headless drill bushing manufactured from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC for long service life in precision drilling applications. With an inside diameter of 11/64 inches and a body outside diameter of 5/16 inches, this bushing guides drill bits, reamers, and other cutting tools with tight tolerances. The inside diameter tolerance is held to +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, making it suitable for repeatable, close-tolerance hole location work. The overall bushing length is 3/4 inches. It installs without a head, sitting flush within the drill jig plate for clean, unobstructed setups.
This bushing is designed for use in drill jigs and fixtures in industrial, toolroom, and machine shop environments. The P series headless press fit style is a standard ANSI configuration used when the bushing must remain permanently in the jig body without protruding above the plate surface. Typical applications include production drilling, reaming, and boring operations where accurate hole placement is required across multiple workpieces. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders install this type of bushing during jig assembly or when replacing worn liners in existing fixtures.
Designed as an ANSI-standard P series headless press fit drill bushing suitable for drill jigs and fixtures requiring an 11/64 inch bore with a 5/16 inch outside diameter press fit seat.
Press fit bushings are installed by toolmakers or machinists using an arbor press or similar controlled pressing equipment — never drive with a hammer, as impact force can distort the bore or damage the jig plate. Verify the counterbore or through-hole in the jig plate matches the required press fit tolerances for the 5/16 inch outside diameter before installation. Once pressed in, this bushing is not intended for removal and reuse. Follow applicable shop standards and fixture design guidelines for bushing retention and jig plate material selection.
