The BONEHAM P135CW is a press fit headless drill bushing designed to guide drill bits with precision during machining and fabrication operations. Manufactured from steel, this bushing features an inside diameter of 0.096 inches (wire size No. 41) with a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, ensuring consistent hole location and accurate drill guidance. The outside diameter measures 13/64 inches and the overall bushing length is 5/16 inches. The headless design allows the bushing to sit flush within the jig plate, making it well suited for applications where a low-profile installation is required. Installed by machinists and toolmakers, this part is a direct press fit component requiring no additional fasteners.
This bushing is used in drill jig applications across manufacturing, metal fabrication, and precision machining environments. The press fit installation method makes it appropriate for permanent or semi-permanent jig setups where the bushing does not need to be routinely replaced. The industry code P designation identifies the bushing type within the standard drill bushing classification system, allowing cross-reference with other P-series components. It is suitable for light- to medium-duty drilling operations in both production and prototype settings.
Designed as an OEM-style press fit headless drill bushing for use in standard drill jig plates accepting a 13/64 inch outside diameter P-series bushing.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolmakers using a press or arbor press to seat the bushing flush within the prepared jig plate bore. The mating bore in the jig plate must be machined to the appropriate tolerance to achieve a secure press fit without distorting the bushing ID. Power down all machinery and secure the workpiece before installing or removing bushings. This is a non-renewable bushing and is not intended for removal and reinstallation once pressed into place.
