It features a 0.0625 inch (1/16 inch) inside diameter bore with a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, ensuring repeatable hole location accuracy across production runs. The body outside diameter measures 13/64 inches, and the overall length is 1 inch. Manufactured from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, the P1316BR resists wear and maintains dimensional stability under repeated drilling cycles. It is installed headless and press fit directly into the jig plate without a retaining flange. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders are the primary installers of this component.
The P1316BR is suited for precision drilling jigs, boring fixtures, and production tooling setups where consistent hole registration is required. Its headless profile allows flush mounting in plates where a headed bushing would interfere with workpiece clearance or tool travel. Press fit bushings require an arbor press or similar tooling to seat the bushing squarely and fully into the jig plate bore. Verify the receiving bore diameter in the jig plate matches the specified outside diameter before pressing to avoid galling or misalignment. Do not use a hammer directly on the bushing face, as this can damage the bore or alter concentricity. Replacement or installation should be performed by a qualified toolmaker or machinist following applicable shop practices.
