The BONEHAM P1312CU is a press fit headless drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during drilling, reaming, and boring operations. Built to industry code P, this bushing features a 3/32 inch inside diameter and a 13/64 inch body outside diameter, with an overall length of 3/4 inch. The inside diameter tolerance is held to +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, delivering the close-tolerance guidance required in production jig and fixture setups. Manufactured from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, it resists wear under repeated tooling cycles. The counterbored design accommodates standard jig plate configurations. Machinists, tool and die makers, and precision fab shops install this type of bushing.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jigs and fixture plates in both job shop and production manufacturing environments. The headless profile keeps the bushing flush with the jig plate surface, making it appropriate for applications where a flanged head would interfere with workpiece clearance or fixture travel. The press fit installation method allows the bushing to be permanently seated without fasteners, maintaining concentricity under repeated drill cycles. Typical applications include multi-hole drilling fixtures, transfer jigs, and precision locating setups in metalworking operations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit component for drill jig fixtures requiring an ANSI-standard press fit headless bushing with a 3/32 inch inside diameter and 13/64 inch outside diameter.
Press fit headless drill bushings are installed by machinists or toolmakers using an arbor press or hydraulic press to seat the bushing flush into a prepared jig plate bore. The receiving hole must be machined to the correct interference fit tolerance before installation to avoid damaging the bushing or the jig plate. Once pressed in, the bushing is not intended to be removed or reused. Always de-burr the jig plate bore and clean all mating surfaces before pressing to ensure proper seating and concentricity.
