The BONEHAM P1312BJ is a press fit headless drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. With an inside diameter of 0.052 inches (Wire Size 55), a body outside diameter of 13/64 inches, and an overall length of 3/4 inches, this bushing delivers tight tolerances for repeatable hole location. Manufactured from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, it resists wear under continuous drilling operations. The headless design allows flush or sub-flush seating in jig plates, and the press fit installation method locks the bushing firmly in place without additional fasteners. This is a non-renewable bushing intended as a permanent installation.
The P1312BJ is suited for use in drill jigs across general machining, metalworking, and precision fabrication environments. It is installed in both production-run and toolroom jig plates where consistent hole placement is required across multiple workpieces. The counterbored design accommodates specific jig plate configurations. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders working to ANSI standards will find this bushing appropriate for applications requiring a small-diameter guide with robust hardness and close inside diameter tolerance.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit component for ANSI-standard drill jig and fixture plates requiring a press fit headless bushing with a P industry code designation.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolmaker using an arbor press or hydraulic press to seat the bushing flush into the prepared jig plate bore. The receiving hole must be machined to the appropriate press fit tolerance before installation. Power down all equipment before working on or near the jig plate. This is a permanent, non-renewable bushing and should not be driven in with a hammer, as doing so may damage the bushing bore or alter the seating geometry.
