The BONEHAM LT568XMH is a headless L-type drill bushing liner designed to guide and locate drill bushings with precision in jig and fixture applications. Built from alloy steel with a hardness rating of 60 to 65 HRC, this liner provides the wear resistance required for repetitive drilling operations. It features a 5/8-inch inside diameter, a 7/8-inch body outside diameter, and a 1/2-inch liner length. Installation is accomplished via press fit, securing the liner firmly in the jig plate without the need for additional fasteners. Machinists, tool and die makers, and production fixture builders are the primary installers of this component.
This liner is used in drill jig fixtures for production and prototype machining environments. It serves as a fixed-location receiver for renewable drill bushings, allowing worn bushings to be swapped out without replacing the entire jig plate. The headless profile sits flush with the jig plate surface, making it suitable for applications where a protruding head would interfere with workpiece clearance or tooling access. Typical installations occur in metalworking shops, machine shops, and manufacturing facilities where consistent hole location accuracy is critical across high-cycle drilling runs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation liner for drill jig fixtures requiring a headless L-type bushing liner with a 5/8-inch inside diameter and press fit installation.
Press fit installation should be performed by a qualified machinist using an arbor press or hydraulic press sized appropriately for the liner diameter. Ensure the receiving bore in the jig plate is machined to the correct tolerance for a press fit before driving the liner into position. Do not use impact tools to seat the liner, as this can cause misalignment or damage to the bore. Verify concentricity and seating depth after installation before returning the fixture to service.
