The BONEHAM LT565XMH is a headless L-type drill bushing liner designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Machined from alloy steel and hardened to 60-65 HRC, this liner provides a durable, wear-resistant bore surface that maintains accurate hole location through repeated drilling cycles. The 5/8 inch inside diameter accommodates standard drill shanks and renewable bushings, while the 7/8 inch body outside diameter seats securely in the fixture plate via press fit installation. With a liner length of 5/16 inch, it fits compact fixture plates where space is limited. Toolmakers, jig builders, and machining professionals install this component as part of a two-piece drill bushing system.
This liner bushing is used in production drilling fixtures, assembly jigs, and precision machining setups where a renewable outer sleeve must be retained permanently in the fixture plate. The headless L-style body profile allows the liner to sit flush or recessed in the plate without a flange obstruction, making it suitable for close-clearance fixture layouts in metalworking and manufacturing environments. Press fit installation ensures the liner stays fixed under repeated tool loads without fasteners.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement liner for two-piece drill bushing systems using standard L-series headless liner configurations in precision machining fixtures.
Press fit installation requires an arbor press or hydraulic press to seat the liner flush and square within the fixture plate bore. Power down and de-energize any associated machine tooling before servicing the fixture. Confirm bore diameter in the fixture plate matches the 7/8 inch outside diameter tolerance before pressing to avoid galling or misalignment. Removal requires a bushing extractor or push-out tool to avoid damaging the surrounding plate material.
