The BONEHAM LT2812HG is a headless L-series drill bushing liner designed to provide a precise, renewable guide interface in jig plate assemblies. With a 1/4 inch inside diameter, a 7/16 inch body outside diameter, and a 3/4 inch liner length, this bushing accepts standard slip-fixed renewable bushings without a locking head, keeping the top of the jig plate flush. Constructed from alloy steel hardened to 60-65 HRC, it delivers the wear resistance required for repetitive drilling operations in production or maintenance tooling environments. Installation is accomplished via press fit into a prepared jig plate bore. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and precision fabricators are the primary installers.
This liner is used in drill jig tooling wherever a headless profile is required at the jig plate surface. The press fit retention method makes it well suited for permanent liner seats in steel, cast iron, or aluminum jig plates. Typical applications include production drilling fixtures in metalworking shops, maintenance repair tooling, and custom fabrication jigs requiring close-tolerance hole location. The 60-65 HRC hardness rating supports high-cycle use without significant bore wear, maintaining hole-location accuracy over extended production runs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation liner for drill jig assemblies requiring a headless L-series bushing liner with a 1/4 inch inside diameter and press fit retention.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolmakers using a hydraulic or arbor press to seat the liner flush into a precision-reamed jig plate bore. The receiving bore must be machined to the correct interference fit tolerance before pressing to avoid cracking the plate or distorting the bushing. Power down and secure all machinery before working on or near active tooling fixtures. Do not hammer the bushing directly without a proper driver to avoid damaging the bore surface or affecting hardness at the contact face.
