The BONEHAM LS00000009 is a drill bushing lock screw designed to secure press-fit or slip-fit drill bushings in jig plates and fixture bodies. The screw features an M8x1.25 thread and a 20mm head diameter that bears down on the bushing flange to prevent rotation and axial movement during drilling operations. The 12mm shoulder diameter and 27mm overall length are sized to match standard bushing lock screw hole patterns in tooling plates. Machinists, tool and die makers, and fixture builders use this fastener to maintain bushing position under repeated drill-cycle loading. Weight is 0.2 pounds.
This lock screw is used in drill jig assemblies where replaceable or permanent drill bushings must be locked in place within a jig plate. It is appropriate for applications in production machining environments, fabrication shops, and toolroom settings where precise hole location is critical. The screw seats against the bushing head to resist both rotational and axial displacement caused by drill thrust and torque. It is installed individually per bushing station and is sold as a single unit.
Designed as a standard drill bushing lock screw for use with flanged drill bushings requiring M8x1.25 locking fasteners in jig plate assemblies.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinists during jig assembly or bushing replacement. The tapped hole in the jig plate must be clean and free of chips before threading in the screw. Torque should be sufficient to clamp the bushing flange without deforming the plate or stripping the thread — follow your shop standard for M8 fasteners in the plate material being used. Always confirm the bushing is fully seated before tightening the lock screw.
