The BONEHAM L485LK is a headless L-style drill bushing liner designed to provide a precise, renewable guide interface inside a master bushing. The liner seats into a corresponding master bushing via press fit, creating a stable drill guide for repetitive hole locations in jig and fixture applications. Machined from alloy steel and hardened to 60-65 HRC, the L485LK delivers the wear resistance needed for sustained production drilling. The 0.5 inch inside diameter guides drill tooling accurately, while the 0.75 inch body outside diameter and 0.3125 inch liner length keep the assembly compact within the fixture plate. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and manufacturing maintenance technicians are the primary installers.
This liner is suited for use in drill jig fixtures across metal fabrication, machining, and general manufacturing environments. It is used wherever a master bushing is already installed in a fixture plate and a renewable liner is needed to accommodate a specific drill diameter or to replace a worn liner without disturbing the master bushing. The headless L profile allows the liner to be pressed in flush and retained without a locking collar, keeping the top surface clear of obstructions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation liner for use with master drill bushings accepting a 0.75 inch outside diameter L-style liner in standard jig and fixture plate applications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tool-and-die technicians. Before pressing the liner into the master bushing, ensure the master bushing bore and the liner outside diameter are clean and free of burrs or debris. Use an arbor press and appropriate-diameter driver to apply even, straight force during press fit installation — do not strike the liner directly with a hammer. Verify the liner seats fully and is flush or at the correct height per fixture design before use.
