The BONEHAM L4812LK is a headless L-style drill bushing liner designed to guide cutting tools with precision in fixed jig and fixture applications. It features a 1/2-inch inside diameter, a 3/4-inch body outside diameter, and a 3/4-inch liner length. Manufactured from alloy steel hardened to 60-65 HRC, this liner resists wear under repeated drilling, reaming, and boring cycles. Installation is by press fit, seating the liner securely into a jig plate or renewable bushing without the need for a head flange. Licensed HVAC, machining, and tooling professionals select this component for close-tolerance work where dimensional stability is critical.
The L4812LK fits standard jig and fixture setups in production and maintenance environments. It is well suited for applications requiring a flush, head-free installation profile where clearance above the workpiece surface is limited. The press fit design locks the liner in place within a conforming bore, making it appropriate for both dedicated jig plates and liner-style renewable bushing systems. Typical users include tool-and-die shops, machine shops, and industrial maintenance facilities performing repetitive hole-location work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or original-installation liner for standard L-series drill bushing jig and fixture systems using a 1/2-inch inside diameter headless press fit bushing.
Press fit installation requires a properly sized receiver bore to achieve correct interference fit; consult published tolerance tables for L-series liners before machining the mating bore. Use an arbor press or similar controlled-force tooling to seat the liner squarely — avoid hammer strikes that may distort the bore geometry. Ensure all machinery is de-energized and work is secured before pressing components into fixtures. Verify inside diameter and liner length against job requirements before installation, as removal of a pressed liner may damage the host plate.
