The BONEHAM HL17622 is an HL-series drill bushing liner with head, designed to serve as a renewable liner installed into a master bushing or jig plate to guide cutting tools with precision. The liner features a 2.25-inch inside diameter, a 2.75-inch body outside diameter, and a 2.375-inch head outside diameter. Constructed from alloy steel, it withstands the high compressive and abrasive forces typical of production drilling operations. Press fit installation ensures a secure, interference-fit seating that resists rotation and axial displacement during use. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and manufacturing maintenance personnel are the primary installers of this component.
This HL drill bushing liner is suited for use in drill jigs and fixture plates in production machining environments, both light industrial and heavy manufacturing. The headed design allows the bushing to be retained within a jig plate while still permitting removal and replacement without specialized extraction equipment. The 1.375-inch liner length and 0.1875-inch head height are sized to accommodate standard jig plate thicknesses. This part is appropriate wherever an HL-industry-code liner is specified by the tooling layout.
Designed as an OEM-dimensioned replacement or original-fit HL-series drill bushing liner for use in standard drill jig fixtures and master bushing assemblies where the HL industry code and a 2.25-inch inside diameter are specified.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machining maintenance personnel using a shop press to achieve the required interference fit. The receiving bore in the jig plate or master bushing must be clean, free of burrs, and dimensioned to accept a press fit before installation. Always de-energize and lock out any associated machine before servicing drill jig components. Do not drive the bushing with impact tools, as this may distort the liner bore or damage the seating surface.
