The BONEHAM HL11222RA is an HL-series drill bushing liner with a flanged head, designed to be pressed into a drill jig or fixture to provide a precise, hardened guide for cutting tools. With a 1-3/8 inch inside diameter, a 1-3/4 inch body outside diameter, and a 1-3/8 inch liner length, this bushing liner establishes accurate tool guidance and maintains hole location tolerances across repeated drilling operations. Constructed from alloy steel, the HL11222RA delivers the hardness and wear resistance required in production drilling environments. It installs via press fit, seating securely into the jig plate without additional fasteners.
This drill bushing liner is used in tooling and fixturing applications across metalworking, machining, and fabrication operations. The flanged head design provides a positive stop during press installation and helps resist axial pullout forces during drilling cycles. Typical applications include drill jigs in job shops, production lines, and maintenance toolrooms where repeatable hole placement is required. The HL-series liner is intended to work with a compatible HL-series renewable bushing, allowing the liner to remain in the jig plate while the renewable insert is changed out as it wears.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or original-installation HL-series drill bushing liner for use in standard drill jig fixtures that accept press fit liner bushings of this diameter class.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinist personnel using an arbor press or hydraulic press to seat the bushing liner flush and square into the prepared jig plate bore. The receiving bore should be finish-reamed to the appropriate tolerance to achieve the correct press fit interference before installation. Verify inside diameter clearance for the intended drill or cutting tool before pressing the liner into the fixture. Once seated, the liner should not be removed and reinstalled, as repeated removal degrades the press fit integrity.
