The BONEHAM H4812KQ is a Type H press fit headed drill bushing machined from steel for use in jig and fixture applications requiring precise hole location. The bushing features a 7/16 inch (0.4375 inch) inside diameter with a close tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0005 inch, a 3/4 inch body outside diameter, and a 3/4 inch length under the head. The head outside diameter measures 59/64 inch with a 7/32 inch head height. This is a non-renewable, permanently installed bushing pressed directly into a drill jig plate. It is intended for use by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and precision fabricators.
Type H headed press fit bushings are used in drill jigs where the bushing must be permanently seated and the head serves as a positive stop against the jig plate surface. This configuration is common in production machining environments where consistent hole depth and location are required across repeated drilling operations. The head prevents the bushing from being pushed through the jig plate during drilling. Applications include metalworking, aerospace component fabrication, and general precision machining setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit component for drill jig plates and fixtures requiring a Type H press fit headed bushing with a 7/16 inch inside diameter and 3/4 inch body outside diameter.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolmakers using an arbor press or similar pressing equipment to seat the bushing flush into a properly reamed jig plate hole. The jig plate hole must be reamed to the correct interference fit tolerance to retain the bushing securely under drilling loads. Power down all related machinery before installing or removing bushings from active fixtures. Do not drive the bushing with a hammer directly on the head face, as this may damage the seating surface or alter bushing alignment.
