The BONEHAM H328GK is a Type H press fit headed drill bushing used to guide cutting tools with precision in metalworking and machining operations. Manufactured from steel, it features an inside diameter of 0.209 inches (wire size No. 4) and a body outside diameter of 0.5 inches. The bushing installs permanently into a drill jig plate without requiring a liner bushing. Length under the head measures 0.5 inches. The head outside diameter is 39/64 inches and the head height is 7/32 inches. Inside diameter tolerance is held to a tight plus 0.0001 to plus 0.0004 inches, which supports accurate, repeatable hole placement across production runs. Machinists, tool and die makers, and jig builders are the primary installers of this component.
This bushing is suited for fixed-location drilling applications in production jigs and fixtures where the same drill diameter is used consistently throughout the run. The headed design seats against the jig plate surface to resist axial pushback from the cutting tool. It is appropriate for use in light to medium-duty ferrous and non-ferrous machining setups. Because it is a press fit, non-renewable design, it is intended for permanent installation rather than field-swappable tooling setups. Sold individually, it fits standard jig plate configurations requiring a 0.5-inch body diameter.
Designed as a permanent press fit replacement or new-installation drill bushing for drill jigs and fixtures requiring a Type H headed bushing with a 0.5-inch body outside diameter and 0.209-inch inside diameter.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolmakers using an arbor press or hydraulic press to seat the bushing flush into a precisely reamed jig plate bore. The jig plate bore must be sized to the bushing body outside diameter tolerance to achieve proper interference fit. Do not hammer the bushing in freehand, as this can damage the head or distort the inside diameter. Verify inside diameter clearance to the drill shank before pressing the bushing permanently into the plate.
