The BONEHAM H326GO is a Type H press fit headed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Machined from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing maintains accurate hole location under repeated drilling cycles. The headed design provides a positive stop against the jig plate surface, preventing axial migration during tool engagement. With a 7/32 inch inside diameter and a 1/2 inch body outside diameter, it fits standard jig plate bores and accepts common drill bit shanks. Machinists, tool and die makers, and production fixture builders rely on this class of bushing for consistent part-to-part hole accuracy in metal fabrication and assembly operations.
The H326GO is suited for use in drill jigs, welding fixtures, and production tooling plates where a permanent, non-renewable bushing is required. The press fit installation method locks the bushing permanently into the jig plate without mechanical fasteners. The 3/8 inch length under head provides adequate tool guidance depth for standard drilling operations. This part is appropriate for both prototype tooling and high-volume production fixtures across metalworking and manufacturing environments.
Designed as an ANSI-standard Type H press fit headed drill bushing for use in jig plates and fixture bodies bored to accept a 1/2 inch outside diameter press fit bushing.
Installation is performed by pressing the bushing into a precision-bored hole in the jig plate using an arbor press or hydraulic press — never drive with a hammer directly on the head. Verify bore diameter and surface finish before pressing to avoid galling or bushing distortion. Ensure the jig plate is securely supported to prevent deflection during press-in. Because this is a permanent press fit bushing, removal will damage the bushing and likely the host bore, so confirm placement before pressing.
