The BONEHAM H325GT is a Type H press fit headed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Made from steel hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing provides a wear-resistant bore that maintains accurate tool alignment through repeated use. The headed design seats flush against the jig plate surface, preventing axial movement under drilling loads. The inside diameter is 0.228 inches with a tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, ensuring close control over drill, reamer, or punch guidance. Machinists and toolmakers install this bushing in production drilling fixtures where consistent hole location is critical.
This bushing fits standard jig plate bores and is suited for light to medium production drilling, reaming, and punching operations in metalworking shops, machine shops, and manufacturing environments. The press fit installation method locks the bushing permanently into the jig plate without fasteners or set screws. It is not designed to be renewable or interchangeable after installation. Typical applications include production run fixtures where the bushing will remain in place for the life of the tooling plate.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation press fit headed drill bushing for standard ANSI jig plate fixtures requiring a Type H bushing with a 0.228 inch inside diameter and 1/2 inch body outside diameter.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolmaker using an arbor press or hydraulic press to seat the bushing into a precision-bored jig plate hole. The jig plate bore must be machined to the correct interference fit dimension to accept the 1/2 inch body outside diameter before pressing. Never drive the bushing in with a hammer, as this can damage the bore or distort the bushing ID. Once pressed in, the bushing is considered permanent and is not intended for removal or replacement.
