The BONEHAM H325GF is a Type H press fit headed drill bushing designed to guide drill bits with precision in jig and fixture applications. Manufactured from steel, this bushing features a 0.204 inch inside diameter (Wire size number 6) and a 1/2 inch body outside diameter. The headed design includes a 39/64 inch head outside diameter and a 7/32 inch head height, providing a positive stop against the jig plate. An inside diameter tolerance of plus 0.0001 to plus 0.0004 inches ensures accurate, repeatable hole location. This bushing is permanently pressed into the jig body and is not designed for renewal or replacement in the field.
Type H headed press fit drill bushings are used in production drilling fixtures across manufacturing, tool and die, and metalworking environments. They are suited for applications where the bushing must be fixed in place and a head flange is needed to seat flush against or stand proud of the jig plate surface. The 5/16 inch length under head is appropriate for standard plate thicknesses in light to medium drill jig work. Installation and removal typically require an arbor press or hydraulic press.
Designed as a permanent press fit replacement or new-installation drill bushing for standard jig plates and fixture bodies requiring a Type H headed bushing with a 0.204 inch bore and 1/2 inch body outside diameter.
Installation of this press fit bushing should be performed by a machinist or tool and die technician using an arbor press or hydraulic press — never drive the bushing with a hammer, as this can damage the bore or misalign the bushing. Ensure the jig plate bore is clean, within tolerance for a press fit, and free of burrs before installation. Once pressed in, this bushing is not renewable and must be machined out if replacement is required. Degrease mating surfaces before installation to achieve consistent interference fit results.
