The BONEHAM H325FT is a Type H press fit headed drill bushing designed to guide drill bits and cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. The bushing features a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) inside diameter and a 1/2 inch body outside diameter, with a length under head of 5/16 inches. Manufactured from steel hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, it provides durable bore guidance and maintains tight inside diameter tolerances of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches. A headed design with a 39/64 inch head outside diameter and 7/32 inch head height keeps the bushing seated flush against the jig plate. This bushing is a non-renewable, press-in type intended for permanent installation.
The H325FT is used in drill jigs and production fixtures across machining, fabrication, and tool-and-die applications. It is suited for guiding drills, reamers, and similar cutting tools where repeatable hole location accuracy is required. The press fit installation method makes it appropriate for fixed tooling setups where the bushing will not need to be swapped between operations. Machinists and toolmakers working in both job shop and production environments install this type of bushing as a standard component in drill fixture assemblies. It conforms to ANSI standards for headed drill bushings.
Designed as an ANSI-standard Type H press fit headed drill bushing for use in drill jigs and fixtures requiring a 3/16 inch bore guide with a 1/2 inch body outside diameter.
Press fit bushings are installed by machinists or toolmakers using an arbor press or similar pressing equipment — never drive with a hammer directly on the bushing head. Ensure the receiving hole in the jig plate is machined to the correct press fit tolerance before installation. Once pressed in, the H325FT is not intended for removal or reuse. Confirm the jig plate material and thickness are appropriate for the 5/16 inch length under head before pressing.
