The BONEHAM H266FZ is a Type H press fit headed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Machined from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing delivers consistent bore alignment under repeated drilling cycles. The inside diameter is 0.196 inches (wire size No. 9) with a tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, making it suitable for close-tolerance production work. The headed design seats flush against the jig plate, providing a positive stop and preventing the bushing from being driven through the plate during operation. Toolmakers, machinist technicians, and fixture builders are the primary installers.
This bushing is used in drill jig assemblies across manufacturing, metalworking, and toolroom environments. It is a permanent, non-renewable press fit style, meaning it is intended to be installed once into a prepared jig plate hole and remain fixed for the life of the fixture. Typical applications include production drilling, reaming, and countersinking operations where repeatable hole location is critical. The headed flange provides a positive reference surface against the jig plate face, which is especially useful when precise depth control of the bushing position is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation drill bushing for use in standard ANSI-compliant drill jig plates requiring a Type H press fit headed bushing with a 0.196 inch bore.
Press fit bushings are installed by toolmakers or machinist technicians using an arbor press or hydraulic press into a prepared, reamed hole in the jig plate. The receiving hole must be machined to the correct interference fit diameter before installation — do not hammer the bushing in directly without a press and driver to avoid damage to the head or bore. The bushing is a permanent, non-renewable installation and is not intended for removal after seating. Confirm bore alignment with a plug gauge before placing the fixture into production service.
