The BONEHAM H265GK is a Type H press fit headed drill bushing manufactured from hardened steel to guide drill bits with precision in jig and fixture applications. It features an inside diameter of 0.209 inches, a body outside diameter of 13/32 inches, and a length under head of 5/16 inches. The hardness rating of 60 to 65 HRC ensures the bore resists wear through repeated use. This bushing is a non-renewable, permanently installed component pressed directly into a drill jig plate. Machinists and toolmakers install this type of bushing in production environments where consistent hole location is critical.
Type H headed drill bushings are used in drill jig fixtures for metalworking and machining operations across light manufacturing and precision tooling shops. The head provides a positive stop against the jig plate surface, controlling the bushing depth and preventing it from being pushed through during press-fit installation. The 1/2 inch head outside diameter and 5/32 inch head height are standard dimensions that align with common jig plate configurations. This part is suited to both short-run prototype fixtures and high-volume production jigs where repeatable hole guidance is required.
Designed as a permanent press fit replacement or new installation component for Type H headed drill bushing applications conforming to ANSI standards. Fits standard drill jig plates machined to accept a 13/32 inch body outside diameter bushing.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolmakers using an arbor press or hydraulic press to seat the bushing flush into a precision-bored jig plate hole. The jig plate bore should be machined to the appropriate interference fit tolerance before pressing in the bushing. Because this is a non-renewable bushing, removal will damage the component and potentially the jig plate. Always ensure the bushing bore is free of chips or debris before drilling operations begin.
