The BONEHAM H2622GD is a Type H press fit headed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during drilling, reaming, or boring operations. It features a 0.201 inch (No. 7 wire gauge) inside diameter with a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, ensuring consistent hole location and repeatability. The body outside diameter is 13/32 inches, the head outside diameter is 1/2 inch, and the head height is 5/32 inch. Constructed from steel hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing is built to withstand the abrasion of high-cycle production drilling. Machinists, toolmakers, and jig-and-fixture builders install this bushing in drill jig plates where permanent, non-renewable bushings are required.
This bushing suits applications in production drilling fixtures, assembly jigs, and precision tooling plates across metalworking and fabrication environments. The press fit installation method locks the bushing permanently into the jig plate without a locking collar, making it appropriate for high-volume drilling operations where the bushing is not expected to be removed or rotated during service. The counterbored head design and 1-3/8 inch length under head accommodate standard jig plate thicknesses and provide clearance for chip evacuation and coolant flow.
Designed as an ANSI-standard Type H press fit headed drill bushing suitable for use in drill jigs and fixture plates requiring a permanent, non-renewable bushing with a 0.201 inch bore.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinist technicians using an arbor press to drive the bushing flush into the prepared jig plate bore. The receiving hole in the jig plate must be machined to the correct press fit tolerance to prevent bushing movement or damage during installation. Power down all associated machinery before installing or inspecting bushings in a fixture. Because this is a non-renewable bushing, replacement requires pressing out the worn bushing and inspecting the plate bore before pressing in a new one.
