The BONEHAM H2622FZ is a Type H press fit headed drill bushing designed to guide drill bits and cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. With an inside diameter of 0.196 inches (wire gauge size 9) and a body outside diameter of 13/32 inches, this bushing seats permanently into a drill jig plate via press fit installation. The head outside diameter measures 1/2 inch with a head height of 5/32 inch, and the length under the head is 1-3/8 inches. Constructed from steel, it provides the hardness and wear resistance required for repeated drilling operations. This is a non-renewable fixed bushing, meaning it is pressed in permanently and is not designed for field removal and replacement.
This bushing is used in machining and fabrication environments where consistent hole location and drill guidance are required across production runs. It seats into counterbored jig plates, with the head resting flush against the plate surface to resist axial push-through forces during drilling. Typical installers include tool-and-die makers, machinists, and fixture builders working in job shops or production facilities. The counterbored design accommodates the head, keeping the bushing flush or recessed within the fixture plate as needed for the application.
Designed as an OEM-style Type H press fit headed drill bushing for use in standard drill jig and fixture plates requiring a 13/32 inch body bore and 0.196 inch inside diameter guidance.
Press fit bushings are installed by machinists or tool-and-die makers using an arbor press or hydraulic press to drive the bushing into the mating bore in the jig plate. Ensure the receiving bore is machined to the correct interference fit tolerance before installation. Once pressed in, this bushing is not designed for removal. Verify inside diameter and length under head dimensions against the fixture design prior to pressing.
