The BONEHAM H2616GH is a Type H press fit headed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. It features an inside diameter of 0.2055 inches, a body outside diameter of 13/32 inches, and a 1-inch length under the head. Constructed from steel, this bushing is pressed directly into a jig plate without requiring a liner bushing, making it well suited for fixed-location drilling operations where the same hole is drilled repeatedly. Machinists and toolmakers install this component in production and prototype fixtures to maintain accurate hole placement and consistent tool guidance.
This bushing is used in drill jigs and fixture plates in manufacturing, metalworking, and toolroom environments. It is appropriate for applications where a permanent, non-renewable bushing installation is acceptable. The counterbored head design allows the bushing to seat flush against or slightly above the jig surface, depending on fixture design. The headed configuration resists axial pullout during drilling operations, providing a stable and repeatable guide for drill bits and reamers.
Designed as a direct-fit permanent press fit bushing for drill jigs and fixture plates requiring a Type H headed bushing with a 0.2055-inch inside diameter and 13/32-inch body outside diameter.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinists using an arbor press to drive the bushing into a prepared, reamed hole in the jig plate. The receiving hole in the fixture plate must be machined to the appropriate press fit tolerance to ensure proper retention. Do not use a hammer directly on the bushing head, as this can damage the seating surface or alter dimensional accuracy. Because this is a non-renewable bushing, the plate bore must be reworked or replaced if the bushing requires removal.
