The BONEHAM H2612GO is a Type H press fit headed drill bushing designed to guide drill bits with precision in jig and fixture applications. It features a 7/32 inch inside diameter, a 13/32 inch body outside diameter, and a 3/4 inch length under the head. Constructed from steel, this bushing is pressed directly into a drill jig plate without requiring a locking mechanism, making it a fixed, permanent installation. The head provides a positive stop against the jig plate surface, ensuring consistent drill depth and alignment across repeated operations. Machinists and toolmakers rely on this style of bushing for production drilling in metal fabrication and precision machining environments.
Type H headed press fit bushings are suited for drill jig applications where the bushing will remain in the fixture for the life of the tooling. The headed design resists push-through under drilling pressure and seats flush against the top surface of the jig plate. This bushing is appropriate for use in both manual and CNC drill press setups where hole location repeatability is critical. It is a non-renewable bushing, meaning it is not designed to be swapped out during production runs.
Designed as a standard OEM-style press fit headed drill bushing for use in machined drill jigs and fixtures where a Type H bushing with a 7/32 inch inside diameter is specified.
Press fit bushings are typically installed by a toolmaker or machinist using an arbor press to drive the bushing squarely into a reamed hole in the jig plate. The receiving hole in the jig plate must be reamed to the correct press fit tolerance to ensure the bushing seats securely without damaging the bore. Do not hammer the bushing in freehand, as this can cause misalignment or damage to the head. Once installed, press fit bushings are not intended for removal and reinstallation.
