The BONEHAM H205FF is a Type H press fit headed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Machined from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, it delivers consistent bore alignment and long service life in production drilling environments. The bushing installs permanently via press fit and is not designed for field removal or replacement after seating. With an inside diameter of 0.1695 inches and a body outside diameter of 5/16 inches, it accepts a Number 18 wire gauge drill and is sized for close-tolerance tooling setups. A headed design keeps the bushing flush-seated against the jig plate surface.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jigs, fixture plates, and tooling blocks where repeatable hole location is required across production runs. The headed style provides a positive stop against the jig plate, making it appropriate for applications where the bushing must be held at a defined depth. It is used in metal fabrication, machine shops, and production manufacturing environments where ANSI-standard tooling components are specified. Installation is permanent, so correct bore sizing in the jig plate is essential before press fitting.
Designed as an ANSI-standard Type H press fit headed drill bushing for use in drill jigs and fixture plates requiring a permanent, non-renewable bushing at 0.1695 inches inside diameter and 5/16 inches body outside diameter.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinist trades using an arbor press or hydraulic press to seat the bushing into a pre-reamed jig plate bore. The receiving bore in the jig plate must be precision-reamed to the correct interference fit tolerance before pressing to avoid galling or misalignment. Because this is a non-renewable bushing, it is not intended to be removed once pressed in. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and de-energize any powered equipment in the work area before fixturing.
