The BONEHAM H205EC is a Type H press fit headed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Machined from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing resists wear under repeated drilling, reaming, and boring cycles. The headed design seats flush against the jig plate surface and eliminates the need for a separate locking collar. The inside diameter is 0.136 inches (wire size No. 29) held to a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, ensuring consistent tool guidance and hole location accuracy across production runs.
This bushing is used in metal fabrication, tool and die, and production machining environments where repeatable hole placement is required. It installs directly into a prepared jig plate bore without additional hardware. The press fit installation method makes it suitable for permanent or semi-permanent fixture setups where bushing replacement is not anticipated. Machinists, tool makers, and fixture builders working to ANSI standards will find this bushing dimensionally compliant for standard jig plate applications.
Designed as an ANSI-standard Type H press fit headed drill bushing for use in standard jig plates and fixture assemblies requiring a 5/16 inch body outside diameter bore.
Installation is performed by pressing the bushing into a precision-reamed jig plate bore using an arbor press or hydraulic press. Ensure the bore in the jig plate matches the required press fit tolerance before installation. Once seated, the headed bushing is not intended for removal without risk of bore damage. Power down all associated machinery before handling or positioning the jig fixture.
