The BONEHAM H2022EU is a Type H press fit headed drill bushing designed to guide drill bits with precision in jig and fixture applications. Machined from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing provides a wear-resistant bore that maintains accurate hole location over repeated drilling cycles. The inside diameter measures 5/32 inches with a tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, and the body outside diameter is 5/16 inches. The head outside diameter is 27/64 inches with a head height of 1/8 inch. Length under the head is 1-3/8 inches. It is installed by press fit and conforms to ANSI standards. Machinists, tool and die makers, and fixture builders are the primary installers.
This bushing is used in drill jigs and fixture plates for production and prototype machining environments. It is suited for applications where a permanent, non-renewable bushing is required to locate and guide cutting tools such as drills, reamers, or counterbores. The counterbored head design seats flush or recessed into the fixture plate, keeping the head from interfering with workpiece clearance. It is appropriate for both light production runs and high-cycle industrial jig work where repeatable hole placement is critical.
Designed as an ANSI-standard Type H press fit headed drill bushing for use in drill jig plates and machining fixtures requiring a permanent bushing installation.
Press fit bushings are typically installed by a machinist or tool and die maker using an arbor press to drive the bushing into a precisely reamed hole in the fixture plate. The host plate bore must be sized to the bushing outside diameter tolerance to achieve the correct interference fit. Do not hammer the bushing in freehand, as this can damage the bore or alter alignment. Verify that the jig plate is securely fixtured before pressing.
