The BONEHAM H2016FU is a Type H press fit headed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during drilling, reaming, and boring operations. Manufactured from steel, this bushing features an inside diameter of 0.189 inches (Wire Size 12) with a tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, ensuring consistent tool guidance and repeatable hole location. The headed design seats flush into a counterbored fixture plate, keeping the bushing secure under the lateral and axial forces generated during machining. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders install this type of bushing in jig and fixture assemblies across production and job-shop environments.
The H2016FU is suited for use in drill jig fixtures where a permanent, non-renewable bushing is required. The press fit installation method locks the bushing in place without the need for a lock screw or retaining ring, making it appropriate for high-volume production applications where the bushing is not expected to be field-replaced. The counterbored head recess allows the head to sit below the fixture surface, keeping the work surface clear of obstructions during tool approach.
Designed as an OEM-style press fit headed drill bushing for use in standard drill jig fixtures requiring a Type H bushing with a 0.189 inch inside diameter and 5/16 inch body outside diameter.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinist tradespeople using an arbor press or similar press equipment to seat the bushing into a properly toleranced counterbored hole in the fixture plate. Power down all machinery before handling fixture components. Because this is a permanent press fit bushing, the host bore must be machined to the appropriate interference fit tolerance before installation. Do not hammer the bushing directly without a proper driver to avoid damage to the head or bore alignment.
