The BONEHAM H2012EU is a Type H press fit headed drill bushing designed to guide drill bits and other cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Manufactured from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, it delivers the wear resistance required for repetitive drilling operations in production environments. The bushing installs permanently into a drill jig plate via press fit and does not require a locking collar or liner bushing. With a 5/32 inch inside diameter and a 3/4 inch length under the head, it provides stable tool guidance across a range of workpiece thicknesses. Machinists, toolmakers, and manufacturing technicians are the primary installers.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jigs and production fixtures where a permanent, non-renewable guide is specified. The headed design seats flush against the jig plate surface, providing a positive stop during installation and resisting axial pull-through under drilling loads. It is appropriate for light- to medium-duty drilling, reaming, and similar operations in metal fabrication, precision machining, and tool-and-die work. The 27/64 inch head outside diameter and 1/8 inch head height provide a low-profile seating surface that minimizes interference with workpiece positioning.
Designed as an OEM-style permanent replacement or new-installation drill bushing for drill jigs and fixtures requiring a Type H press fit headed bushing with a 5/32 inch inside diameter and 5/16 inch body outside diameter.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinists using an arbor press or hydraulic press; hand-driving is not recommended and may damage the bushing or jig plate bore. The receiving bore in the jig plate must be sized to the appropriate press fit tolerance for the 5/16 inch body outside diameter before installation. Once pressed in, the bushing is not renewable and must be machined or pressed out for removal. Follow applicable ANSI B94.33 drill bushing standards and shop safety procedures when pressing components.
