The BONEHAM H1316DA is a Type H press fit headed drill bushing manufactured from steel for use in precision drilling and boring operations. It features an inside diameter of 0.0995 inches with a tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, a body outside diameter of 13/64 inches, and a length under head of 1 inch. The head outside diameter measures 19/64 inches and the head height is 3/32 inches. Hardness is rated at 60 to 65 HRC, providing the wear resistance required for repetitive guided-drill applications. This bushing is installed permanently into a drill jig plate using a press fit and is not renewable. It is handled by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and precision fabrication professionals.
Type H headed drill bushings are used in drill jig fixtures where a permanent, press-fit installation is required. The counterbored head design seats flush or recessed in the jig plate, keeping the bushing face aligned with the work surface. This part is appropriate for small-diameter drill guidance in light-to-medium production environments, including job shops, manufacturing facilities, and maintenance operations requiring repeatable hole location. The ANSI-standard dimensioning ensures compatibility with standard jig tooling setups.
Designed as an ANSI-standard Type H press fit headed drill bushing for use in drill jig fixtures requiring permanent bushing installation with small-diameter drill guidance.
Press fit bushings are installed using an arbor press or hydraulic press; do not drive with a hammer, as this can damage the bushing bore or jig plate. Ensure the jig plate hole is machined to the correct press fit tolerance before installation. This bushing is not renewable and must be replaced along with the jig plate bore if removal is necessary. Installation is typically performed by machinists or toolmakers during jig and fixture fabrication or repair.
