The BONEHAM CB00001356 is a slip-fixed (SF) drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. It features a 0.098-inch inside diameter, a 5/16-inch body outside diameter, and a 1/2-inch length under head. The bushing is machined from steel and heat-treated to a hardness of 60 to 65 HRC, providing wear resistance under repeated drilling cycles. An inside diameter tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches ensures tight, repeatable tool guidance. This head-style bushing is compatible with the LS-1 lock screw and conforms to ANSI standards. Machinists and tooling technicians working in precision drilling, reaming, and boring operations are the primary installers.
This bushing is used in drill jig assemblies across general machining, toolroom, and production environments. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be installed into a liner bushing and secured with an LS-1 compatible lock screw, making it suitable for applications that require periodic bushing replacement without re-machining the jig plate. The 0.098-inch (number 40 wire gauge) ID accommodates small-diameter drill bits and reamers in close-tolerance work. The head-style configuration provides a positive stop against the jig plate face, maintaining consistent drill depth and positional accuracy.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation slip-fixed drill bushing for use in standard ANSI-compliant drill jig fixtures requiring an LS-1 lock screw.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinists working with drill jig assemblies. The bushing is pressed or slipped into a mating liner bushing already installed in the jig plate, then secured with an LS-1 lock screw to prevent rotation during use. Ensure the liner bushing bore and the jig plate are clean and free of chips before seating the bushing. Follow applicable shop safety and fixturing procedures when securing workpieces and operating cutting tools.
