The BONEHAM CB00001263 is a press fit headless drill bushing designed to guide drill bits and other cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. With an inside diameter of 0.166 inches (Industry Code P, wire size 19), a body outside diameter of 5/16 inch, and an overall length of 1 inch, this bushing provides accurate tool guidance in close-tolerance machining operations. Constructed from steel hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, the CB00001263 delivers the wear resistance and dimensional stability that production drilling setups demand. The headless design allows flush seating in the jig plate without a protruding flange, making it suited for applications where clearance above the plate is limited. Installation is permanent press fit — no renewal or removal intended once seated.
This bushing is used in drill jigs and fixtures across general metalworking, fabrication shops, tool rooms, and light manufacturing environments. The headless press fit style is a standard configuration for permanent bushing installations where repeated tool guidance at a fixed location is required. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders install this style of bushing when designing or maintaining production jigs for drilling, reaming, or similar operations. It conforms to ANSI standards for drill bushing dimensions, making it a direct-fit replacement in any ANSI-conforming jig plate bored to accept the 5/16 inch outside diameter.
Designed as an ANSI-standard press fit headless drill bushing for use in any jig plate or fixture bored to accept a 5/16 inch outside diameter bushing. Suitable for use with drill bits and reamers sized for a 0.166 inch (wire size 19) through-hole.
Press fit bushings are installed by toolmakers or machinists using an arbor press or similar controlled-force tooling — never drive with a hammer directly on the bushing face. The jig plate bore should be finish-reamed to the appropriate interference fit tolerance before pressing. Once seated, this bushing is not intended for removal or renewal. Verify jig plate material and bore dimensions against ANSI bushing press fit allowances before installation.
