The BONEHAM CB00001136 is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Built to ANSI standards, it features a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) inside diameter held to a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, ensuring accurate and repeatable hole location. The body outside diameter measures 1/2 inch (0.5000 inch), with a 3/4 inch length under the head. Constructed from steel hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing delivers the wear resistance required for production drilling environments. It is a renewable, headed bushing that installs into a liner bushing and locks in place with an LS-1 compatible lock screw.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jigs, fixture plates, and tooling setups found in machine shops, fabrication facilities, and production environments. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be installed and removed without special tools, making it practical in applications where bushings need periodic replacement or tool changes between operations. The headed configuration provides a positive seating surface and prevents the bushing from being pushed through the liner during drilling.
Designed for use with standard ANSI liner bushings and LS-1 series lock screws. Fits tooling jig plates and fixture assemblies accepting a 1/2 inch body outside diameter slip-fixed bushing.
Installation of drill bushings is typically performed by toolmakers or machinists during jig assembly or bushing renewal. Ensure the liner bushing bore and seating surface are clean and free of chips or burrs before inserting the slip-fixed bushing. Secure the bushing with an LS-1 compatible lock screw to prevent rotation or lifting during drilling operations. Do not force the bushing into an undersized liner; verify liner inside diameter matches the bushing body outside diameter before assembly.
