The BONEHAM CB00001135 is a press fit headless drill bushing designed to guide drill bits and cutting tools with precision during machining and fabrication operations. Manufactured from steel with a hardness rating of 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing resists wear under repeated drilling cycles. It features a 0.29 inch inside diameter, a 0.5 inch outside diameter, and a 1 inch overall length. The tight inside diameter tolerance of plus 0.0001 to plus 0.0005 inches ensures consistent tool guidance and repeatable hole location accuracy. This is a non-renewable, headless design installed via press fit into a jig plate or fixture body.
Press fit headless drill bushings are used in drill jigs, fixture plates, and production tooling setups across metalworking, machining, and fabrication environments. The headless profile allows the bushing to sit flush with the jig plate surface, making it well suited for applications where a protruding head would interfere with workpiece clearance or tool travel. This bushing carries the ANSI standard designation and is assigned industry code P. It is installed once and remains fixed in the jig body for the life of the tooling setup, making it appropriate for high-volume, repetitive drilling operations.
Designed as an ANSI-standard press fit headless drill bushing suitable for use in drill jigs and machining fixture plates requiring a 0.5 inch outside diameter press fit bore and a 0.29 inch tool guide opening.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolmakers using an arbor press or hydraulic press to seat the bushing flush into a properly toleranced jig plate bore. The receiving bore in the jig plate must be machined to the correct interference fit tolerance before installation. Once pressed in, this bushing is not intended for removal or replacement. Always ensure the jig plate is secured and the bushing is properly aligned before applying press force to avoid damage to the bushing or fixture.
